Rhode Island Street Rodding Association was formed in 1973 by a small group of dedicated hot rod enthusiasts. Shortly thereafter it evolved to a Charter Club of the National Street Rod Association. NSRA is the largest street rod association in the world. This is our 38th anniversary which allows us to proudly claim to be the oldest street rod club in Rhode Island. We are involved in numerous shows throughout the season, a Sunday Cruise Night and a Thursday Night Cruise night. Our first show, The Annual Automotive Extravaganza is on Memorial Day. This year will mark the 23rd year that the event benefits the Johnston Little League. In July The Rhode Island Shrine Legion of Honor and RISRA will hold its' 5th annual car show at the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, 1 Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI. Also in this month we will pitch in and give West Warwick Parks Department & Centreville Bank a helping hand at their very successful "Oldies Night". August features a new venue Hot Rods and Harleys Haul for us at the Charlestown Sea Food Festival which is held on August 5th The War Veterans Tribute Cruise at the RI Veterans Home was inaugurated last year. We were one of eight car clubs that initially launched this great cause and look forwarded to the second annual cruise. September 30, 2012 marks our crème de la crème of the season with our own Washington County Swap Meet & Car Show. We save our oldest show, the 37th Annual "Toys for Tots" Fun Run for the Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend. We are always actively seeking new members, if you have an interest in street rodding and would like further information either email us or attend a scheduled meeting listed within the events page. Monthly meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at 1 Rhodes Place, Cranston, RI, all are welcome.
